The VistaScan Perio Plus is a multi-slot scanner with an input/output buffer that triggers up to 8 images, erases them andmakes the plates available again in one single step thanks toits cassette transport system, so that a half status appears onthe screen in around 30 seconds. The 4 cassettes with twoplates each are loaded and processed one after the other inone single step. The advantage is that the waiting times areshorter for the health care professional and the assistant,thus freeing up time for the patients. The reusable VistaScanimage plates can be viewed in just seconds. The result is topquality images. Never has time been more right to switchfrom film to plate.

As many PC stations as desired have equal access to the images of the centrally placed VistaScan Perio Plus that is connected to the network. In just a few seconds, the first image appears on the monitor.
In combination with DBSWIN, the VistaScan Perio Plus achieves optimum results. It can alternatively be operated via VistaEasy with almost any third-party software. It can be easily integrated into the practice procedures via USB or the network.
Excellent image quality, high resolution,
VistaScan plates can achieve an image quality of 22 LP/mm, a resolution better than X-ray film and therefore better than the competition. The photon collecting system (PCS) by Dürr Dental is already starting to overtake image plate technology. Dürr PCS – Photon Collecting System (Patent DE 19942211C2) – since its introduction in the 2002, it has revolu- tionised the power of modern dental scanners worldwide. The fast turning and super fine laser, the double reflec- tive parabolic mirrors and the powerful photomultiplier are key features. They were all developed by Dürr Dental in Germany.
The results of these features are: best resolution, largest grey scale range, maximum data efficiency and, therefore, highest exposure sensitivity. Even in markets such as the US or Japan, Dürr PCS is the leading tech- nology for dental scanners. PCS is constantly developed and refined and can now be seen with the new Dürr VistaScan.
PCS technology is currently even ahead of the development of image plates, as the VistaScan Perio can obtain a theo- retical resolution of 40 LP/mm, while the latest image plate generation offers only about 22 LP/mm, which is on par with film. In any case, a decision for the Dürr VistaScan Perio today ensures that future advances in plate technolo- gy are already catered for.
